Katie {Colonial Forge High}
It’s been a rainy week of hurricane Ian, so we are sharing Katie’s sunny senior session to boost all of our moods! She looked absolutely stunning from start to finish and I adored her southern/western look at the cornfield location. One of my favorite accessories to add to a session is a hat and Katie brought two! Including accessories in your senior session is a great way to get tons of variety in your photos. I always encourage bringing at least one accessory whether that be a personal item or fashionable item.
Before we left the barn location, we decided to take a few photos in the barn doorway. Right as Katie was about to walk over to the barn, we both see a GINORMOUS black snake slither right along side the doorway. I am not being dramatic when I say that thing must have been 4 feet long. That snake has ruined this location for me because I used to walk through the tall grass with no fears at all and now I am petrified to step anywhere that I can’t see. 😂 It’s safe to say we did not stay at the barn much longer, but Katie was a champ!
We swung over to the willow trees right down the road from the cornfield and I’m so glad we did because they photographed so beautifully!! We ended Katie’s session at the river and the sun was glowing through the trees so perfectly. We had gorgeous lighting during the entire session which is a photographer’s dream!
Katie was the absolute sweetest to work with and it was obvious she got it from her Mama! It made my heart so full knowing how much Katie’s Mom appreciated every detail that went into the session. Not only are senior’s my clients, but their Mom’s are also my clients and I love hearing that both leave the session so happy + satisfied.
