Alyssa {Riverbend High}
I don’t even know where to begin with Alyssa’s senior session! Every single location had the most magical lighting and it was truly a photographer’s dream. Alyssa looked absolutely flawless and was so much fun to work with!
We started the session at a park that had the most beautiful green trees surrounding a small bridge. I was hesitant about this location at first because the last time I photographed a senior session there I wasn’t thrilled about the lighting, but thank goodness I gave it another try because I loved every single photo of Alyssa here!
Alyssa wanted to have a 90’s urban style to her senior session, so our next stop was at a local mural wall. I loved how this location gave such a different feel than the first location. Changing up location styles is a great way to add variety to your gallery. Choosing a theme or “feel” is one of the first things I recommend seniors to think about when planning their senior session. This helps us plan the most perfect locations to fit your senior session dreams!
Our next stop was downtown at the local coffee shop. Alyssa loves going to coffee shops, so she wanted to include this in her session. I love how much thought she put into planning every detail of her senior session! Downtown was super busy with weekend festivities, so I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out, but once again I can’t get enough of all the images from this location!
We had a little less than an hour until sunset and Alyssa wanted to go to the river before heading to the parking garage. I was worried about losing the sun, but I knew how much she wanted some river shots. We sprinted to my car and sped over to the river to snag a few photos before heading to our last location. I typically recommend only 3 locations, so we aren’t spending too much time traveling but I loved how much Alyssa was able to get out of her session by doing so many locations!
The grand finale location was at the top of the parking garage. Alyssa’s Dad has a Harley Davidson that was passed down to him and Alyssa made the last minute decision to include it in her session. Once you see the images from this part of the session you will understand when I say, I can’t imagine this gallery without the Harley. It was the perfect prop to incorporate and was so personal to Alyssa and her family.
If there’s any piece of advice for senior’s preparing for their senior session, it’s this:
Take the time to think about and plan your senior session! Incorporating locations, props, people, or pets that mean the most to you is one of the best ways to make your senior session personal and meaningful.
