{Ellie}
If you’ve never considered booking a session for yourself, think again! My favorite part about being a photographer is having literally zero rules (I’ve never been a rule follower anyway 😜)! Your dream photo session is all up to YOU and the sky is the limit! If you follow me on socials, you know I loove a styled shoot that has fun props + accessories. My favorite type of session is one that’s out-of-the box, unconventional, and unique to the person in the photos. It’s probably why I absolutely love my spokesmodel team! We get to plan tons of amazing photoshoots and create whatever vision we want! If you are a class of 2024 senior, applications to Team 2024 are about to close on January 21st! Having your very own photoshoot is such an empowering experience that teaches self-love and self-confidence like none other. 2023 is the year to treat yourself, girl!
Let’s get back to the whole “no rules” part of photography. Ellie had talked about wanting to do a flower bouquet session for months. It wasn’t until I reached out to her about my own photo idea that we actually made her flower bouquet session happen. I saw a “walking on water” pose on Tiktok and knew I had to try it. It was definitely harder than it looked, but we got some shots that would’ve convinced you that Ellie was Jesus. 😂 What you don’t see in the photos is me wearing knee high boots, carrying Ellie over to the stool to keep her dry and Ellie attempting to balance on a stool in the middle of a reservoir. I didn’t take into account that the reservoir was rocky and far from being a flat surface. This made the task a bit more challenging, but we laughed our way through the session and let’s be real, we only needed one winning shot and I think we got that!
I met Ellie through her Mom. We worked at the same school and she booked a family session early on in my photography career. We share the same last name, so a lot of people think we are related and as much as I would love to be a part of their family, we are in no way related. Thankfully, I still get to photograph them for various occasions and Ellie will forever be one of my favorite models anytime I have an over-the-top idea. She looked so good that she was asked on more than one occasion when she was getting married 😂 Apparently you can’t take photos with flowers unless you’re engaged, who knew?! And by the way, she is a hair stylist now, so check her out!
Have a look at my favorite images from Ellie’s session!!
